Housing

Dear Mercy College Community,

Mercy College has determined it will not renew the lease agreement with The Historic Hillcrest Apartments, which ends July 2018. Many factors were taken into consideration when making this decision, primarily low utilization of the current inventory.

For our residents scheduled to live in the Hillcrest for 2017-2018, their housing contracts will be fully honored. Moving forward, Student Life and Housing will continue to work closely with the Hillcrest staff to maintain our current standards of operation throughout the upcoming year.

Should you have questions regarding any of this information, please contact me at marc.adkins@mercycollege.edu or 419-251-1512 or Deanna Vatan, Director of Student Life and Housing, at 419-251-2133 or deanna.vatan@mercycollege.edu.

Thank you,
Marc Adkins
Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students

Mercy College and the Historic Hillcrest Apartments have partnered to offer a unique and sophisticated living experience for our students. The Hillcrest, a beautiful, historic nine-floor building, is located just 4 blocks from campus. The building offers a work-out facility, underground parking, picnic area along with a new community room.

Mercy College strives to meet the housing needs of our students. Individuals are assigned to one of 25 Mercy College-leased apartments, with the two-bedroom units varying in floor plans and square footage. Both double (sharing an apartment with a Mercy College student) and single/family options are available. A roommate matching service is provided to students wishing to share an apartment with another Mercy College student.

Housing options remain available for 2017-2018. Students interested in housing are strongly encouraged to complete the application as soon as they are admitted, as housing is granted on a first-come, first served basis. Apartment assignments, which are determined by the Director of Student Life and Housing, are done in priority order by the date the application and associated fee are received.
