Program Description
Phlebotomy is the process of collecting blood samples for quality laboratory testing. Our program includes 52 hours of classroom instruction, hands-on practice in phlebotomy lab, and a 120 hour clinical externship. Participants who successfully complete our program will be eligible to take a national certification exam through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).  Exam fee is $125 (this is a separate cost). Clinical Experience
Our program offers a clinical rotation which is a vitally important component.  Clinical assignments will be made with each participant during class.  Clinicals will generally be 40 hours a week for a three-week block. Clinical time preferences are not guarenteed. Clinical schedule generally runs Monday-Friday during dayshift hours.

$1995 (due in full before the course begins. Acceptance letter will include details.

Forms & Special Requirements

  • Background Checks/Finger Printing
  • Health Immunization Form (must test negative for a 2-step tuberculosis test)
  • Physical Form (updated within last year)
  • Copy of high school diploma/GED equivilent
  • Copy of health insurance card (or write a note claiming personal responsibility)
  • Must be able to read and write, posess the needed manual dexterity to perform  phlebotomy, and able to lift up to 20 lbs
