This scholarship is available to a student(s) in the Associate of Science or Bachelors of Science in Nursing programs, in financial need, and who has completed (is completing) the first level of nursing courses and is eligible to begin the second level of the nursing program at Mercy College. The college's scholarship committee selects the recipient.

The award is to be made to a student(s) seeking a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0, who is in financial need, has completed all pre-licensure requirements and is entering the first level of nursing courses leading to the degree at Mercy College. The college's scholarship committee selects the recipient.
To apply, complete the scholarship application form and submit a short essay explaining your choice of nursing as a career, particularly the BSN degree. The scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and/or fees only.
Prospective students with a minimum 3.5 high school grade point average and a minimum ACT composite score of 25 may apply for the Presidential Scholarship. The College's scholarship committee selects the recipients. The scholarship is renewable annually, as long as a minimum grade point average of 3.3 is maintained.

The Mercy College Auxiliary has established two endowed scholarships for students at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio to recognize academic excellence, help students in financial need, and perpetuate the Mercy values of excellence, justice, human dignity, mercy, and service. The Auxiliary has served the Mercy-Toledo area by providing volunteers, community support, and funding. The Mercy College Auxiliary has focused its efforts on supporting the mission of Mercy College of Northwest Ohio since 1996.

The Alberto Regueyra scholarship for nursing students at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio was established in the memory of Alberto Regueyra, the brother of Dr. F.I. Regueyra, to recognize nursing excellence and to help students in financial need.

To apply, complete the scholarship application form and submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member who has worked with you in the clinical setting. The letter should address your nursing abilities and your commitment to caring for patients with compassion. The scholarship can be used only for educational purposes. It will be presented at the fall Student Recognition Assembly.
In 1998, Mr. And Mrs. Ashel Bryan created an endowed scholarship fund for students at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio to recognize academic excellence and to help students in financial need. Dorothy Bryan, an artist cited for her work with cancer survivors, created the Chemo Paintings during her struggle with cancer. Dorothy, now deceased, had shared her talents and insights with Mercy College students and was the recipient of the College's 1997 Misericordia Et Cura Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Mercy College Board of Trustees. Ashel Bryan, one of the founders of Mid American National Bank & Trust Company, plays a major role in philanthropic efforts in the fields of health care and education in Northwest Ohio.

The Opial family of Rossford, Ohio established a scholarship in the memory of John R. Opial. The John R. Opial Mercy College Scholarship Fund is available for a high school student who attends Mercy College of Northwest Ohio. All High School seniors who apply to Mercy College of Northwest Ohio will be considered for the scholarship. Priority will be given to the entering senior with the highest academic standing. It will be awarded once a year. Each year the Mercy Alumni Association awards a $500 scholarship to three students currently enrolled at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio. The scholarship will be awarded based on a review of student applications that meet the following criteria.The student must: - Have successfully completed all first level courses and be eligible to begin the second level of the program of study - Currently maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA - Demonstrate evidence of clinical competence on the basis of recommendations submitted by two previous clinical instructors
Mercy College of Northwest Ohio offers two full tuition scholarships to Health Information Technology students. Both high school seniors and students transferring from another regionally accredited college may apply. High school seniors must be admitted to Mercy College's HIT program, have at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) and an ACT composite score of at least 21 (or comparable SAT score). Transfer students must be admitted to Mercy College's HIT program and have earned a minimum of 15 credit hours of college coursework with at least a 3.0 GPA from a regionally accredited college. For applicants who have attended more than one regionally accredited college, GPA's from all of these colleges must combine to equal at least 3.0.Recipients must remain continuously enrolled either full-time or part-time in good standing in accordance with the HIT program of study curriculum. Students must also maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete the program within two years for Fall Start and within two and one half years for Spring Start. This scholarship can only be used towards otherwise unpaid or uncovered tuition and fees. The approximate value of scholarship is up to $18,000.00, based upon 2006-07 tuition rates.
A scholarship was established in the memory of Frank and Clara Lenhart in recognition of their commitment to education and their ability to pass on their values to their children: seven Mercy nurses, two physicians, a laboratory technician, an X-ray technician and a farmer. The scholarship was established for students at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio to recognize nursing excellence and to help students in financial need.
The endowed scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of the Lenhart daughters and their families. Are you thinking of going to college for the first-time? If you are looking for a high-quality educational experience but are concerned about the cost of earning a degree, Mercy College has a new scholarship program that can help. The College will offer 30 qualified first-time students a scholarship upon admission. Eligible Associate of Science students can apply for a total of $2,500 at a rate of $500 per semester for five semesters, and Bachelor of Science students can apply for $4,000 at a rate of $500 per semester for eight semesters.St. Charles Mercy Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship
The St. Charles Mercy Hospital Auxiliary funded scholarships are awarded each year to students at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio (Mercy College) to help students in financial need and perpetuate the Mercy values of excellence, justice, human dignity, mercy, and service. The Auxiliary serves St. Charles Mercy Hospital by providing volunteers, community support, and funding.
Students entering Mercy College with at least a 3.0 grade point average and in good standing may apply for the St. Charles Mercy Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship. The College’s Scholarship Committee selects the recipient. Highest consideration is given to students who demonstrate a commitment to Mercy values, and the greatest financial need. The award is $1000.
Funding for the award is an annual gift from the St. Charles Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. In the unlikely event the initial intent of the funds can no longer be fulfilled, the Board of Directors of the Mercy College of Northwest Ohio Foundation may direct the funds to another use, which in their understanding, best meets the intent of the donor.
The criteria for the scholarship are as follows:
• Admitted or enrolled at Mercy College,
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and in good standing,
• Financial need,
• Completed application for the scholarship,

The Mercy Health Partners Diversity Scholarship
A scholarship has been established by the Mercy Health Partners Northern Region Diversity Council to assist students of diverse cultural backgrounds at Mercy College of Northwest Ohio (Mercy College.) The Mercy Health Partners diversity vision statement reads:

A multicultural student must be a member of one of the four federally recognized minority groups Asian-American/Pacific Islander, Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American or a student with a demonstrated commitment to diversity and multiculturalism.
