What does the future hold for me as a Radiologic Technologist?
According to the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics 2012 – 2013 Job Outlook Handbook data, “Employment of radiologic technologists is expected to increase by about 28 percent from 2012 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations. As the population grows and ages, there will be an increasing demand for diagnostic imaging professionals.” Hospitals will be a primary employer for radiologic technologists, however employment is predicted to grow rapidly in diagnostic imaging centers, clinics and physician offices by 2020.

The national median salary for entry-level Radiologic Technologists is $61,733 per year, according to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Wage and Salary Survey in 2010. The median salary for entry-level Radiologic Technologists in Ohio is $49,290 and $57,829 in Michigan.
