According to the American Association of Sleep Technologists 2007 Salary & Benefits Survey, annual salaries in the Midwest region for a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) average from $42,918 to $61,389.  Prior to gaining the RPSGT credential, people can work in the field as technicians for slightly less.
