Orientation

Welcome to Mercy College of Ohio!

Your next step is to make a reservation to attend Orientation by following these steps:

1- Click on My Mercy (located on the far right of this page)
2- Next, click on Sign-Ups and Scheduling
3- Choose Spring Semester Orientation Selection (for students starting classes in January) in the drop down box
4- Select the session you want to attend and click on Sign Up!

(Sessions are currently closed).

We are committed to making Orientation beneficial and efficient. Before arriving on campus for Orientation, please:

1.  Review your acceptance letter to see if the COMPASS Assessment is required of you.  If so, please contact the Library directly to schedule your assessment at (419) 251-1700. COMPASS Testing must be completed at least 72 hours before your appointment with your academic advisor. Please also review the COMPASS study guide at www.mercycollege.edu prior to taking the assessment.
2.  Complete and return the purple matriculation card (included in your admission packet). This card serves as your acceptance for admission at Mercy College.
3.  Bring the following items with you the day of Orientation:
• Materials from your advising appointment, such as your program of study worksheet and the list of courses you were advised to take for the upcoming semester.
• Your vehicle information including the year, make, and model of your car, and license plate number (so we can process your parking pass).

All students must schedule and meet with their academic advisor prior to attending Orientation.

For Nursing – 2 Year or 4 Year, or General College/ Pre-Nursing students:

1- Go to www.mercycollege.edu
2- Click on My Mercy
3- Next, click on Sign-Ups and Scheduling
4- Choose Pre Orientation Nursing Advising in the drop down box
5- Select the session you want at attend and click on Sign Up!

For All Allied Health Students including, Cardiovascular Technology or General College/Pre-CVT, Health Information Technology or General College/Pre-HIT, and Radiologic Technology or General College/Pre-Rad Tech

1- Go to www.mercycollege.edu
2- Click on My Mercy
3- Next, click on Academic Advisor Apts.
4- Select Allied Health Advisor in Select/Tutor Advisor area
5- Select Allied Health Advising in Select Service area
6- Select the date you want to meet with your academic advisor from the calendar
7- Select the available time to meet, complete the form, and Finalize Appointment

Things to Note:

  • Orientation typically lasts 4 to 6 hours, please plan the remainder of your day accordingly.
  • Feel free to bring a guest or parent, as we offer a session during Orientation dedicated to the people who support our students’ success.
  • Students beginning clinicals will receive an additional mailing from their department regarding program orientation, uniforms, health records and additional assessments.
  • Students currently enrolled in classes at another college are reminded to have official transcripts sent directly to Mercy College when final grades are posted.

2012 Women in Service Scholarship Application

Women in Service to Appalachia (WSA) is pleased to offer a Scholarship of $500 for an undergraduate or a graduate student.
