As the healthcare industry continues to expand, the need for well-educated professionals will intensify for decades to come. Mercy College is a great place to start, offering both incredible challenge and sincere encouragement. Our graduates are in high demand, and can choose from dozens of job settings and organizations. Bottom line: healthcare offers a wide range of rewarding careers for you.

Our low student-to-instructor ratio and small class size means you’ll get the attention you deserve. And a Mercy College education combines state-of-the-art classroom instruction with the real-world experience of a healthcare setting.

Here are some frequently asked questions about Mercy College:

Is Mercy College accredited? Yes – click here for details.

How do I know what classes will transfer from another college? Click here for details.

Are all of the classes listed on the transfer guides needed for all programs? No. Each program has different admission pre-requisites and co-requisites. Click on your program of interest to the right to learn more.

Does Nursing & Radiologic Technology begin every semester? No, these programs begin every Fall semester.

Is there a waitlist for your programs? Once a program is full to capacity, a wait list is started. In order for a student to be removed from the wait list, another student who has been offered a clinical space in the program must decline the space. If this happens, a student is removed from the wait list and placed in a clinical space.  The last day for potential removal from the wait list is August 1.  If a student remains on the wait list after August 1, he or she can reapply for consideration for the next possible term of clinical enrollment.

I’m a transfer student. Do I have to take the ACT/SAT? As long as the transfer student has at least twelve college credit hours at a regionally accredited college, not including PSO work, then the ACT/SAT is not required.

Do I still need to have my high school transcript sent if I am a transfer student? Yes.

When I apply, what is the guarantee that I’m accepted? There is no guarantee of acceptance.  Mercy College has a selective admissions policy.

Why can’t I just come in and sign up for classes today? The first step is to apply to Mercy College and go through the application process:  an application, $25.00 application fee, all official transcripts from high school and every college attended.  When the application file is complete, it is reviewed by an admissions committee and the applicant will be notified by mail of the decision.  If accepted, a student will attend an orientation and register for classes during that program.

How much does it cost to attend Mercy College?  To assist families with their financial planning, Mercy College offer’s the NET PRICE CALCULATOR  to help estimate federal and state financial eligibility.
