The Mercy College Foundation was founded as a non-profit corporation to assist in the promotion of Mercy College. Established in recognition of the need to forge public and private partnerships, it adds financial support to the College's other sources of funding. Through the generous contributions of our supporters and intelligent investment policies, we are working to fulfill the objectives of the Foundation. As a separate non-profit organization, we receive, hold, invest and disburse funds for the purposes of improving instruction, acquiring equipment, renovating facilities and providing financial assistance to Mercy College students.
Meeting the Needs... Through the strategic planning process at Mercy College a series of goals have been established to guide the College into the 21st century. One of the challenges is the need to broaden our base of support to help limit tuition increases. The Mercy College Foundation is our opportunity to gather private resources to supplement the institution's efforts to achieve the College's mission and vision.
We operate as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation under the guidance of a Board of Directors to supplement and enhance the financial position of the College. The Board is a group of community-minded citizens who have committed a portion of their resources and talents to the College.
