Directions/Classroom Location?
Mercy College of Northwest Ohio is located at 2221 Madison Avenue in Toledo, Ohio. Free, lighted parking is available in a parking garage off of Jefferson Ave. Parking in the surface lots after 5pm is also permitted. Enter the building through the main entrance of Mercy Healthcare Center under the teal awning. Some of our classes are located in the College academic center, which is accessed by taking the elevators in the lobby to the 3rd floor. Other classes are reached by following the hallway next to the pharmacy around to the left until you reach the first set of elevators, labeled number 11 (Madison side of building). These classes are: The Therapeutic Massage Lab (1st floor), the Continuing Education Conference/Classroom 2630 (2nd floor), Computer Lab 2704 (2nd floor), Classroom 3702 (3rd floor) and Fitness Center (4th floor). There is a security desk just inside the main entrance of Mercy Healthcare Center if you need assistance with directions.
Registration?
Most programs will not have additional mailings. Pre-registration is required for all classes to best accommodate books and other handouts. Complete the registration form and mail it along with your payment or register and pay online. The decision to run programs is made five days prior to the class. If registrations do not meet minimums, classes may be cancelled. Participants will be notified by phone as soon as cancellation is determined and your payment will be returned. If your employer will be paying the tuition, please note this on the registration form. It is recommended that you send your registration form directly to the Continuing Professional Education department to reserve your place while your employer processes the payment. You will receive an e-mail confirmation if you register on our website you WILL NOT receive written confirmation of your registration if you register by fax or mail. We would, however, offer verbal confirmation if you call our office at (419) 251 -1799. If you need any special accommodations, please list it on the registration form or call the CPE department to discuss.
Cancellation/Refunds?
Mercy College reserves the right to cancel a class for any reason. Registrants will be notified of cancellations in a timely manner, and refunds will be processed within three weeks of the scheduled cancellation. If the college cancels a program, your full tuition will be refunded. If it is necessary for you to cancel, your tuition, less a $10 processing fee, will be refunded if requested seven days prior to the program start. No refunds, only credit, will be given if cancellation notice is less than 7 days. A substitute attendee is possible at anytime. Mercy College reserves the right to substitute equally qualified instructors at anytime should the need arise.
Financial Aid?
Student financial aid, loans or grants usually do not cover courses taken through the Department of Continuing Education. There are however, opportunities for loans that participants can initiate through outside agencies. Further details can be found on their web sites or by calling directly.

Partial Scholarship is available for the Home Care Aide Certificate Program
A limited number of $200 scholarships are available to assist with the cost of tuition for qualified applicants.
Continuing Education Credit?
- Mercy College of Northwest Ohio (OH-1 83) is an approved provider of continuing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation, OBN-001-91. Provider status is valid through 11-1-09.
- Mercy College is an approved provider of continuing professional education for Counselor and Social Work from the Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
- Mercy College of Northwest Ohio is approved as a “Certified” Continuing Education Provider by the State of Ohio Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Examiners.
Other discipline-specific continuing education credits may be applied for on a per class basis. These will be listed along with the course information. Attendance at the entire program and completion of the course evaluation is mandatory in order to receive continuing education credit.

- California Board of Registered Nursing ALLEGRA Learning Solutions, LLC, is a provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP 12385, for the stated number of contact hours.
