Be Comfortable in your Genes (Jeans) Campaign – Extended Collection

Mercy College is collecting your old jeans for the YWCA Women’s Shelter.

Please bring in your gently used jeans or pants that you no longer wear. Any size- kids or adults will greatly help the center.

Mercy Leadership Program

Mercy Leadership Program – Based on the premise that Leaders are Made not Born, this series of 4 workshops will provide you with skills and information that will enhance your Personal Leadership Style! Tuesday, February 23rd – What is Leadership; Tuesday, March 23 – Communication and Listening; Tuesday, April 6th – Organizational and Time Management skills; Tuesday, April 20th – Change – How to best Deal with Change. All programs are from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in Room 5805. Students may attend as many of the sessions as they would like however if you complete the series you will receive a Mercy Leadership Program Certificate for your Portfolio! $2,000 Zonta Club of Bowling Green Area Scholarship

Zonta Club of Bowling Green Area established a scholarship for women ages 25 years or older, who are pursuing post-secondary schooling or training.  They are inviting applications from women enrolled or wanting to enroll in educational training programs, technical training, colleges or universities.  Applicants must reside in Wood County, Ohio, show financial need, and have earned a high school diploma or GED. 

 How to apply:

  • Obtain a scholarship application packet:  1) at the Wood County District Public Library; or, 2) by emailing BGZonta@gmail.com; or, 3) by writing to Zonta of Bowling Green, Attention:  Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 745, Bowling Green, OH  43402.

NEW Mercy College Scholarship Opportunity

The financial aid office is pleased to announce 10 additional non-renewable scholarships for the 2010-11 academic year.  These scholarships are funded by the Fifth Third Bank. Fifth Third Bank is a United States regional bank corporation with headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio and locations throughout Ohio and other Midwestern states.  This scholarship will be awarded to new or current students with demonstrated financial need.  The deadline to apply for this scholarship and all other Mercy College scholarships is February 28, 2010.  You can apply on-line at http://www.mercycollege.edu/financial-aid/scholarship-online-application/.  You only need to complete the application one time to be considered for any scholarships!  If you have any questions, please contact us at 419-251-1219 or financialaid@mercycollege.edu.
