IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE MERCY COLLEGE BUSINESS OFFICE

The Business Office will be closed Monday, March 21st through Friday, March 25th.

If you have a past due balance and are concerned about registering due to a Business Hold on your student account, please make sure that your payment reaches the Business Office no later than 4:00pm on Friday, March 18th. This is the only way you can ensure that your account is in good standing for registration which begins on Monday, March 21st. Any payments made online or through the Business Office drop box after 4:00pm on Friday March 18th will not be posted to your account until the Business Office re-opens on Monday, March 28th.

Important Deadline Reminder:

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

Mercy College Scholarship Applications are due by Monday February 28, 2011.  Carefully review all scholarship descriptions as requirements for each are unique.  Remember to submit your FAFSA if you would like to be considered for the need-based scholarships.  Only one application is necessary.  Remember to obtain letters of recommendation if necessary.

The following scholarships require two letters of recommendation from previous clinical instructors:
*Sr. Phyllis Ann Gerald R.S.M. Nursing Endowed Scholarship
*Ruth L. Kelly Nursing Scholarship
*Ruth Obert Kolwitz Bachelor of Science in Nursing Scholarship
*Debbie McCoy Scholarship

The following scholarship requires one letter of recommendation from a previous clinical instructor:
*Regueyra Family Memorial Scholarship

Submit your application and recommendations to the financial aid office by the February 28th deadline – if you have any questions, please contact the financial aid office at financialaid@mercycollege.edu or 419-251-1219.

Payment Reminder – Spring 2011 Semester

Monday, February 7th, 2011

ALL STUDENTS: The due date for your spring 2011 student account is Tuesday, February 15th. All accounts must be paid in full unless you are enrolled in a current payment plan or have pending financial aid. Payments may be made online using a debit or credit card. You may also pay in person in the Business Office with cash, check, Visa, Master card or Discover. Please log in to your EMPOWER account to make sure that your bill has been paid in full. Even if you have received a refund check earlier in the semester, please double-check your balance as many students have had book charges and/or ID replacement charges added to their accounts.

Your account must be paid in full unless you have a current payment plan or pending financial aid. Business Holds will be placed on any accounts with outstanding balances. Constitution Day Celebration!

Mercy College is celebrating Constitution Day today!  Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, recognizing all who are born in the U.S. or by naturalization, have become citizens.  Please join us in the Madison Avenue Lobby between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm for an opportunity to watch a documentary, eat cake and to share your thoughts on the Constitution.
