Women in Service to Appalachia (WSA) is pleased to offer a Scholarship of $500 for an undergraduate or a graduate student. The scholarship is intended to benefit students who are actively involved in community service.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Postmarked by May 15, 2012. Applications not accepted cannot reapply another year. Award recipient will be notified by August 15, 2012.
The Florence Allen Scholarship program was established in 1924 to honor Judge Florence Ellinwood Allen, Ohio’s first woman Supreme Court justice. Scholarship funds are for the 2012-13 academic year. Mercy College, Toledo Campus, will host an Open House on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. As always, we appreciate your help with this event!
As usual, I am asking that the program chairs/associate deans be in charge of organizing your own student volunteers for your lab areas, as you are the best judge of which students you feel are most qualified to represent your programs/divisions (I already have a list of volunteers from the Division of Nursing). Also, each program will need to have at least one representative staffing their table in J3302.
Room J3302 will be set-up on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. For those that set-up displays at Open House, please bring over and set-up your display anytime after 2 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012.
