Army Nurse Corps Association 2012 Memorial Scholarship Program

General Information

Scholarships are $3,000 per selected applicant.  The application process requires close collaboration between the student and the school. All complete applications are due by 31 March 2012.  Extensions will not be granted.  Applications will be reviewed by the ANCA Education Committee and selected students and their school will be notified within a few weeks.  Scholarship funds are sent to the school on behalf of the student and not given directly to the student.  The Army Nurse Corps Association does not have an official relationship with the US Army, the Army Nurse Corps or the Reserve Officer Training Corps. There is not a military service obligation for the student receiving this scholarship.  Scholarship ROTC students and students receiving full GI Bill education benefits are not eligible.

Must RSVP to rholer@sttoms.com by October 7, 2011. Cost is $25 a plate.

You are invited to a Diocesan Campus Ministry Banquet. Mass will begin at 5 p.m., and a catered dinner will follow with a keynote speech by Bishop Leonard Blair. The evening will end with presentations on the various campus ministries in the Diocese. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend.



Pray the Rosary

Has it been awhile since you have prayed a rosary? Have you heard of the rosary but not sure what it is about?

Many religious traditions use beads to count their prayers. The repetition of the rosary prayers is calming and is a great form of meditation. Come see what it is all about! Let us pray together this ancient prayer for the many prayer intentions of our faculty, staff, and students. Free rosaries will be available!



Tent City Collection: The Boxes are Empty – Only One Week Left to Collect!

Collection is September 26-October 7, 2011 in boxes at Madison lobby, 5th floor reception desk & 3rd floor Jefferson lobby Event is October 28-30, 2011 in Downtown Toledo

Tent City is an event sponsored by 1 Matters and other organizations, which serves our brothers and sisters who are without homes. One very important need for Tent City is an individual bag of hygiene items for participants. Mercy College will collect toothpaste and toothbrushes for this annual event. MESSAGE FROM THE NEW INTERIM DIRECTOR OF CAREER & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Hello, my name is Megan Gray and I’m the Interim Director of Career and Professional Development. I have worked for the past year as the Testing Center Assistant for Mercy College’s Toledo Campus.  Before coming to Mercy College, I worked in Secondary Education.  I obtained a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Toledo and am a licensed English Teacher in the state of Ohio. Prior to entering the educational field, I worked for three years in Marketing and Public Relations. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication from The Ohio State University. I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to utilize both of my career backgrounds as I begin my new position at the college.
