Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

If you are using any earlier version of Microsoft Office (Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003 etc) you will need to download and apply a patch from Microsoft to open documents created at Mercy College, and sent to you using Microsoft Office 2007. You can obtain the patch at:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466&displaylang=en

Without this patch on your PC, you may not be able to open Microsoft Office 2007 documents sent to you from Mercy College. The Microsoft Office 2007 files have the “x” on the file extensions, such as .docx, .xlsx, .pptx.
